Many first-year design school students experience sticker shock when they see the supply shopping list they are handed on the first day of classes. This is a pretty universal experience for most design students including Jeanette, Chandlyr, and Lindsay. Everyone noted how fortunate they were to able to receive an industrial design education, but that doesn't mean it was always easy to meet the program’s materials and supply requirements. During this unedited lunch (or in Lindsay's case coffee) chat we shared personal stories, issues the current system is creating, and inspiring next steps to take to help make the cost of education more manageable and transparent for the next generation.
